Energy Education Curriculum (1996 - 2009)
The Energy Education Curriculum Program was designed to increase Texas teachers' awareness of alternative energy in their communities and to improve their understanding of the nature and extent of energy and its resources, energy conservation and efficiency, the economic and environmental effects of energy use, and alternative energy technologies. The program lays the foundation for environmental stewardship in teachers and students through critical-thinking and problem-solving investigations in Texas Education Agency approved workshops. Infinite Power (1997 - 2009)
SECO created the Infinite Power of Texas Renewable Energy Educational Campaign to accelerate the acceptance of renewable energy resources in Texas. The purpose of this web site is to educate the public about the potential and the benefits of renewable energy in Texas. The site presents detailed background information about renewable energy and encourages and enables Texasn to use more renewable energy in their daily lives.
Watt Watchers (1985 - 2008)
Watt Watchers of Texas was created as an energy conservation program for Texas schools. The Watt Watchers program assisted SECO in planning and implementing energy education programs throughout Texas. Watt Watchers was a program for elementary, middle and high schools that spread all across Texas because of its proven method of promoting energy conservation habits and reducing school energy bills.
